Quick and dirty...use a file.
or
Take the machine heads to a machine shop.

Could you cut away the special coating at one point to allow it to fit into the tuner slot?

thank's, but I think oops_sign I'm afraid if I cut (thinner) that string, there will be weak...

Make a slot in the tuner post big enough for the string. Like Padma said.

What size is the slot in the tuner(s) compared to the string(s)?
I see the new strings are Kevlar/nylon as opposed to wire wound, and may be a lot thicker?
Widening the slots will weaken the post at the side of the slots of course.
If widening the slot remember to round the "new" edges of this slot.
If left sharp they may damage the string.

Yes however I strongly suggest using a file.

the slot size is 2,5mm and the G kevlar size is 5,0mm but I think is OK to widen,.. ONE more BIG PROBLEM is the pegbox and scroll inside is NOT enough to fill the D and G KevlaR string, do you have the other way of that? maybe I must make a hole under the pegbox? [uncle] [uncle] [uncle] gaah gaah
thank's...

Unless you can move the tuners up towards the top of the pegbox a couple of mm. You could plug the holes and re-drill, fitting them slightly higher.
Otherwise you may have to dig out a few mm from the pegbox to fit these strings.
If you do that I hope you have enough thickness there.

Colin, if the kevlar just wind the slot two rounds, is that strong enough to hold the string tension?

Sorry Herry, don't know - I'm not familiar with them.

Colin I decided NOT wow7-eyes to change the string because inside the pegbox is not enough to fill with the weedwacker's string, so I think better for me, another time to build a new one EUB with weedwacker's string. Thank's all of you so much idunno bliss
